Meanwhile Space is an exhibition at Roca London Gallery that investigates how buildings, spaces, and objects can be reimagined through processes of reuse and adaptation. The exhibition not only showcases examples of temporary and transitional design strategies, but also reflects on how these practices can shape more sustainable futures.

The project was developed from the early concept phase through to detailed design and installation. The design team created a flexible spatial system composed of four modular structures, each capable of adapting to different functions and curatorial narratives throughout the gallery. The exhibition layout integrates a colour-coded identity to guide visitors across three main thematic zones: Meanwhile Spaces, Amend, and The Big Read. Alongside the spatial design, the process involved extensive materials research, sustainable sourcing, graphics and signage development, and the careful design of visitor flow to create a coherent and immersive experience.
